The Szene chair was created in collaboration with design company Engelbrechts and designed for the auditorium in Axel Towers.

The organic shape of Axel Towers is clearly reflected in the auditorium. This gave rise to the need for a chair that would embrace the semicircle of the auditorium and create a coherence between the architecture and the fixtures.

We have worked to create a design that facilitates a smooth movement along the curved treads on the large stair structure. The result is a chair that seems modest in size but is very spacious in the way it meets the body. With its organic shape it embraces the body and facilitates a range of different sitting postures. The slim shell that constitutes the backrest embraces the padded cushion and very precisely defines a space for each guest in the auditorium.

A floor mounted version of Szene will be available soon and the range is about to be expanded.
